Getting to Aarhus
By plane
Aarhus Airport is connected with Copenhagen Airport with several daily departures on weekdays and some departures on Saturdays and Sundays. The flight takes 35 minutes. In Copenhagen, a free transit bus links the International and Domestic airport terminals. There is also direct train services from Copenhagen Airport to Aarhus (3 hours).
Aarhus Airport, located 40 km north of Aarhus, offers direct international flight connections to Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, London / Stanstead and London / Heathrow.
Billund Airport, located 100 km south of Aarhus, has direct international flight connections to Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, London / Gatwick, Manchester, Riga, Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, The Faroe Islands, Nice, Palanga, Kaunas, Edinburgh, Stavanger, Bergen, München, Nice, Perugia and Malaga.
By train
Aarhus is served by a train station with hourly service to and from Copenhagen (3 hours) and several daily connections to Sweden, Germany and the rest of Europe.
By ferry
Aarhus Harbour has ferry and hydrofoil connections to Copenhagen via Kalundborg. From Scandinavian countries you can go by ferry to Frederikshavn or Grenaa and from there by bus or train to Aarhus.
Airport Shuttle buses
There is a bus service to Aarhus from both airports. The travel time from Aarhus Airport to the city of Aarhus is approx. 50 minutes (one way ticket DKK 85) and from Billund Airport to Aarhus approx. 1,5 hours (one way ticket DKK 180). Tickets are sold on the bus. Individual taxi services are available. (approx. DKK 500 from Aarhus airport, and DKK 1150 from Billund Airport)
There is an Airport Shuttle bus stop at the University of Aarhus (the junction at "Nordre Ringgade"/"Randersvej")

By city bus
From downtown to Aarhus University: A regular bus ticket can be bought on the rear platform of all city buses, offering unlimited rides throughout Aarhus for two hours. If you plan to take more than three rides in a day, a better option would be to buy a 24-hour tourist ticket which includes a 2 hour, 30 minute guided tour of Aarhus. Tourist tickets can be bought at the tourist office or at newsstands for a reasonable price.
From downtown, nearly all buses depart just outside Aarhus Railway Station and from the adjacent street "Park Allé", located right between the City Hall Square and the railway station. Buses no. 4, 7, 17, 24, and 26 all stop at the street junction "Langelandsgade/Kaserneboulevarden"; a one-minute walk from the conference location "Kasernen",
By taxi
